About Brooke Cooper, PhD, LCPC, NCC
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Colorado Christian University and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, with a Master of Arts in Seminary from Houston Graduate School of Theology.
My professional experience includes serving as a community mental health Crisis Therapist and Director. This strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are and understand the experiences of individuals and families. I also gained experience overseeing and supporting a team of therapists, which has inspired me to continue serving as a therapist for other therapists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to those in management or supervisory roles.
I am a Kansas BSRB–approved Clinical Supervisor offering supervision to LPCs pursuing clinical licensure. Based in Garden City, KS, I provide in-person supervision throughout Southwest Kansas, as well as telehealth supervision statewide.
I bring both personal and professional experience with individuals connected to military life, and I am trained in clinical military counseling, EMDR, and ART. I value working with first responders, veterans, and the LGBTQ+ community.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and partnership. Some of my postgraduate work focused on spiritual integration and exploring how humor can be used to enhance self-care.
